- RICHARD G. BROWN, PULASKI, DIES IN SYRACUSE

Richard G. Brown, 70, of 7404 Park St., died Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse, after a long illness.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry, pastor of Park United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Richland Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Surviving are three sons, David M., Van Nuys, Calif., and Donald H. and Richard J., both of Pulaski; tow daughters, Donna M. Heffler, Upland, Calif., and Carol B. Wilson, Richland; a grandson; three brothers, Dugal and Roderick, both of Altmar, and Alex, Lacona, and two sisters, Sally Marriott, Cameron, N.C., and Thelma Smid, Las Vegas, Nev.
A brother, John, died before him.
Born Feb. 4, 1925, in Pulaski, a son of David and Hazel Hilton Brown, he graduated from Sandy Creek High School and earned a master's degree from Syracuse University in 1952.
He served with the Marine Corps during World War II in the Pacific, China and Japanese Theatres. He also served in the state National Guard for many years.
He married Alice Pizon in Aug. 1950 in Sandy Creek.
Mr. Brown began work at General Electric Co., Syracuse, in 1952 and retired in 1985 as manager of quality engineering for radar undersea warfare at General Electric Co. He had previously served in the G.E. aerospace and missile divisions.
He was a member of the Pulaski Congregational Church, the Robert Edwards American Legion Post 358 and the G.E. Elfun Society.
