      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday Evening, March 21, 1895 Oswego Daily Palladium - Oswego, New York - Daysville, March 20 - Mr. John R. Burr died Sunday evening after a long and painful illness. He leaves a wife and two daughters, Mrs. Frank Beley, Syracuse, and Miss Anna Burr of this place. Mr. Burr was a man of great honesty and integrity of character and his death will be sincerely regretted by all who knew him

      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, March 27, 1895 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Daysville - Last Wednesday afternoon the mortal remains of John Burr were laid at rest in the Willis cemetery. The funeral was held at his late residence, where a large concourse of relatives assembled to pay their last tribute of respect. The services were conducted by Rev. H. R. Northrup. Tis said that "an honest man is the noblest work of God," and Mr. Burr was an honest and honorable man in every sense of the word, winning the respect and esteem of all who knew him. Of his immediate family circle and leaves a widow and two daughters, Mrs. Frank Beley, of Syracuse, and Miss Ann Burr, of this place. In Pulaski he has a number of brothers and sisters, who were with him often in his last sickness. His age was 69 years.
      Mrs. Woodruff, of Ellisburg, was here last Wednesday to attend the funeral of her brother, John Burr.
