Cameron C. Cox, 85, of 59 North St., died Monday at the Jewish Home of Central New York.
Mr. Cox lived in Pulaski most of his life and was employed by New York Central Railroad and Conrail for 45 years, retiring in 1982 as an equipment supervisor.
He was a member of Pulaski Congregational Church and the railroad union Local 9072 and was a former volunteer for Northern Oswego County Ambulance.
Born April 23, 1918, in Oswego, son of Clyde and Harriett Freeman Cox, he graduated in 1936 from Pulaski Academy and Central School and served in the Army during World War II from 1942 to 1945.
He married Edith Marie Switzer on Aug. 28, 1946, at her parents home in Pulaski.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Terry C., Huntsville, Ala., and Jeffrey L., Knoxville, Tenn.; three daughters, Kathleen M. McCloud, Renshaw Bay, Carol A. Hubbard, Pulaski, and Nancy J. Corbett, Yorktown, Va.; a brother, Frederick F., Oswego, 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home with the Rev. James Tschudy officiating. Spring burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

He was born April 23, 1918 in Oswego, NY, the son of Clyde and Harriett Freeman Cox. He resided in the Pulaski area most of his life and graduated from Pulaski Academy High School in 1936. He married Edith Switzer on August 28, 1946 and served in the US Army during WWII in 1942 to 1945. He was a member of the Pulaski Congregational Church, the Railroad Union Local #9072, and a former NOCA Volunteer. He was employed by Conrail for 45 years retiring in 1982 as an Equipment Supervisor. He is survived by his wife, Edith Marie; two sons, Terry C. of Huntsville, AL, Jeffrey L. of Knoxville, TN; three daughters, Kathleen M. McCloud of Renshaw Bay, Carol A Hubbard of Pulaski, and Nancy J. Corbett of Yorktown, VA; one brother, Frederick F. Cox of Oswego; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with Rev. James Tschudy officiating. Spring burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.
