David J. Richardson, 54, of 24 High St., died of blood poisoning Monday at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center, Syracuse.
Mr. Richardson was an electrician since 1969 at the nuclear power plants in Scriba and at Oswego Steam Station. He previously worked at Pulaski Bowling Center and Hancock Field, Mattydale, and was a partner in Ric-Sac Co.
He was a member and treasurer of the former International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 328, Oswego, and had been treasurer of IBEW Oswego-Syracuse Local 43, of which he had been a member for 28 years.
He was a member of Pulaski Baptist Church, Elms Golf Club, Pulaski Masonic Lodge and Robert Edwards American Legion Post 358. He was a former village trustee and a member of the Pulaski Fraternal Bowling League.
Born April 8, 1943, in Syracuse, son of Albert and Marjorie I. Johnson Richardson, he graduated from Pulaski Academy High School in 1961 and served in the Navy from 1961 to 1967.
He married Barbara N. Horton on Dec. 28, 1963.
Surviving besides his wife and mother are a son, Bradley D., and a daughter, Laura, all of Pulaski; a brother, Dickie L., Mexico; a sister, Joanne Fallon, Syracuse, a grandson and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Pulaski Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Varnum officiating. Spring burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home.
Donations may be made to the Oswego County unit of the American Cancer Society.
