Frances I. Nichols, 101, of 889 Tinker Tavern Road, a lifelong resident of Pulaski, died Thursday at her home.
Miss Nichols was a teacher in rural schools in the Pulaski School District and at Pulaski Elementary School, retiring in June 1971 after 43 years of service.
Born July 20, 1906, in Pulaski, daughter of Lewis and Gertrude Reese Nichols, she had resided in the same home her whole life. She graduated from Pulaski Academy High School in 1927, Pulaski Teachers Training Class in 1928 and Oswego State Teachers College in 1932.
She was a member of Fernwood United Methodist Church, New York State Retired Teachers Association and Oswego County Retired Teachers Association.
A sister, Alice Nichols, died Nov. 15, 1996.
A graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Mexico Village Cemetery.
Arrangements are with Foster-Hax Funeral Home.
