Lois J. Stub May 2, 2006
Lois J. Stub, 85, of Sandy Creek, NY, passed away Tuesday, May 2 at the Samaritan Keep Home, where she had resided since 2003.
She was born February 27, 1921, in Tully, NY, daughter of Lester W. Zufelt and Pauline Cook Zufelt. She graduated from Pulaski Academy in 1938.
She married Ernest R. Stub, of Bogo, Denmark, at the Methodist Church in Pulaski, NY on April 9, 1939. They lived on a farm in Sandy Creek, NY for 60 years. Mr. Stub passed away in March of 2003.
Lois enjoyed gardening and bingo.
Surviving are three daughters and their husbands, Marcia and Dale Huffstater, Pulaski, NY, Josie and Steve Nemier, Sandy Creek, NY, and Cindy and Maynard Gillard, Mannsville, NY; two sisters, Doris Loomis, Saranac Lake, NY, and Louise Ware, Key West, FL; two brothers, Howard Zufelt, Camillus, NY and Edison Zufelt, Pulaski, NY; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A brother, Lester Zufelt died before her.
There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek, NY, and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
Donations may be made to the Sandy Creek Fire Dept. or the Northern Oswego County Ambulance of Pulaski, NY.
