- Class of 1920 PACS
US Congressman. He graduated from Pulaski Academy in 1920, Cornell University in 1924, Cornell Law School in 1926, was admitted to the bar and commenced the practice of law in Utica, New York. During World War II, he served in Europe as a Colonel in US Army Infantry, being awarded the Bronze Star and Legion of Merit. In 1959, he was elected as a Republican to the Eighty-sixth Congress and to the next six succeeding Congresses, serving until 1973. Not a candidate for reelection, he resumed the practice of law and was presiding legal officer of a clothing firm in Mohawk, New York, (1977-80).
