Newspaper Obituary - Sunday, September 16, 2007 Syracuse Herald American - Syracuse, New York - Frances C. Riley, 93, life resident of Richland, died Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse. Born October 9, 1913, in Richland, she was the daughter of Edward and Chloe Pierce Carr. She graduated from Pulaski Academy School in 1932 and married Elmer D. Riley on June 10, 1933. He died May 27, 1969. She was employed by the U.S. Post Office in Richland for 16 years, retiring in 1983. She was previously employed by Wildhack's Drug Store in Newark for several years. Frances was a member of Park United Methodist Church, Pulaski, the Home Bureau, ROSA Garden Club, Half-shire Historical Society and Thrift and was a past member of Richland Pilot's Association. Surviving: one daughter, Sharon F. Riley of Deansboro, and one son, Keith C. Riley of Syracuse. She was predeceased by one son, David D. Riley on February 5, 2005. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, with Dr. Robert Pennock (nephew) officiating. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery. No calling hours.
