Charlotte M. Turner, 81, of 4646 Salina St., died Wednesday at Oswego Hospital.
Miss Turner taught at Monticello Central School for 27 years, retiring in 1973. She also taught at Pulaski Academy and High School from 1942 to 1946 and at Minetto Union School from 1937 to 1942.
Born Oct. 25, 1917, in Bridgeport, Conn., daughter of Frank and Ethel Dawley Turner, she graduated in 1934 from Pulaski Academy and High School and in 1937 from Oswego Normal School.
She received a bachelor's degree in 1942 from Albany State University and a master's degree in 1951 from Syracuse University. She also did graduate work from 1965 to 1966 at the University of Arizona, Tucson, and received a science grant for six weeks of study at Women's College, Beirut, Lebanon.
Miss Turner was a member of Park United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the Pulaski Civic Club and a member and past matron of Lake Ontario Chapter 124, Order of the Eastern Star, Sandy Creek, and Kiameshia Chapter 304, OES, Monticello.
She also was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma honor society, a life member of the New York State Retired Teachers Association and a member and past president of the Oswego County Retired Teachers Association and Contra Zone Retired Teachers Association. She was a member and past treasurer of the Northern New York Federation of Women's Clubs.
Surviving are two sisters, Doris Beach, Sackets Harbor, and Janet Stamps, Williamstown, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Park United Methodist Church with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Altmar.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home.
Donations may be made to Park United Methodist Church or Northern Oswego County Ambulance.

She graduated from Pulaski Academy and Oswego Normal School and received a bachelor's degree from State University at Albany and a master's degree from Syracuse University. She attended Beirut College for Women, Lebanon, and Tucson University. She retired in 1973 after 27 years as a teacher at Monticello School. She formerly taught at Pulaski and Minetto Union schools. She was a member of Park United Methodist Church, Pulaski, and its United Methodist Women; a member and past matron of Lake Ontario Chapter 124 OES, Sandy Creek, and Kiamesha Chapter 309 OES, Monticello; and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma.
Survivors: Two sisters, Doris Beach of Sackets Harbor and Janet Stamps of Williamstown; a brother, Francis J. Turner of North Syracuse.
Services: 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Park United Methodist Church, Pulaski. Burial, Riverside Cemetery, Altmar. Calling hours, 5 to 7 p.m. today at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park St., Pulaski.
