November 16, 2008 Albert R. Johnson, 87, life resident of Pulaski, died Friday at Oswego Hospital. He was born December 25, 1920, in Albion, the son of Albert and Nina Palmer Johnson. He graduated from Pulaski High School in 1939. He married Janet B. Bentley September 6, 1941; she died August 8, 2006. He was last employed by Stone & Webster at Nine Mile II in Oswego as a carpenter, retiring in 1983. He was also a custom homebuilder for many years, and he also ran a flooring business for several years. He was a member of the Carpenters Local #747 in Oswego, and he was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Pulaski. He was a former member of the Pulaski Zoning Board and Planning Commission, and the Albion Game Club. Surviving: one son, Albert R. (Debbie) Johnson II of Pulaski; three daughters, Jean (Chris) Nash Mathison of Phoenix, AZ, Carol (Robert) Dickson of Alden, NY, and Gail Johnson of Pulaski; two sisters, Dorothy Tubbs of Pulaski and Alice Zufelt of Camillus; one brother, Robert Johnson of Pulaski; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great- great-grandson. He was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Harold; and two sisters, Bernice Hurd and Madaline Thompson. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, November 24, 2008, at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski. Calling hour will be 1 to 2 p.m. November 24, prior to the funeral service.
