      Beverly A. McNitt, 64, of 11709 Bishop Street Road, died Thursday morning in Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, where she was admitted Wednesday.

      Mrs. McNitt worked at Lally Manufacturing Co., Adams, and also was a cook and waitress at several restaurants in southern Jefferson County.

      She had resided on Bishop Street Road for 15 years, was a former member of Richland Volunteer Fire Company and a former Girl Scout leader in Richland and enjoyed doing craft work and playing bingo.

      Born Sept. 15, 1939, in New Haven, daughter of Arthur O. and Florence M. King Nutting, she graduated from Pulaski Academy.

      She married Elmer L. McNitt. They later were legally separated.

      Surviving besides her mother, of Samaritan Keep Home, Watertown, are her companion of many years, Marshall Nash; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Donna and Patrick Case, Smithville, Dianna Busler, Blossvale, and Kathleen and Mark Senzamici, Batavia; a son and his wife, Robert and Cindy, Mannsville; seven sisters, Grace Caufield and Mary Jean and Betty Jean Nutting, all of Sandy Creek, Joan McNitt, Sandy Pond, Joyce Widrick, Adams, Barbara Lehtonen, Central Square, and Darlene Denny, Orwell; three brothers, Jerry and Ronald Nutting, Richland, and Bruce Nutting, Sandy Creek, 12 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren.

      A sister, Linda M. Vann, died July 3, 2002.

      The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. Spring burial will be in Ellisburg Cemetery.

      A calling hour will begin at noon Monday at the funeral home.
