      Merle R. Lattimer, age 90, of County Route 2, Orwell, passed away Wednesday morning, December 9, at her home.

      Merle was born on October 9, 1919, the daughter of Don and Genevive Durgee Minor. She graduated from Pulaski Academy and CCBI (Central City Business Institute), in Syracuse.

      Merle married DeWilton W. Lattimer on April 12, 1942. He passed away on January 5, 1977.

      Merle was a loving, devoted wife and mother. Her joy was her family. She loved her home and working in her garden. She was a member of the Orwell D.A.L.K.A. Class.

      She is survived by four children. Three daughters, Mrs. Ron (Linda) Laughlin, of Dupont, Washington, Ms. Georgia Lattimer, of North Syracuse, and Mrs. Steve (DeAnna) Rossman, of Orwell; and one son, DeWilton II and JuleAnn Lattimer, of Sandy Creek.

      Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Bruce (Thelma) Carl; a brother, Don Minor; seven grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren.

      Calling hours will be held at the Summerville Funeral Home in Sandy Creek on Sunday, December 13, from 1 - 3 PM. The funeral will follow at 3 PM with the Rev. Tom Williamson of the Calvary Baptist Church officiating. There will be a spring burial in Evergreen Cemetery, in Orwell.
