- Bertha I. Cooper, 95, of Towpath Towers, Fulton, died Tuesday. She had been employed at Nestles in Fulton for 28 years. Bertha was recently honored at SUNY Oswego for her service during wartime as a Rosie the Riveter. She enjoyed bingo, cards, dancing, shopping and tea parties with family and friends. Mrs. Cooper is survived by one daughter, Donna Matteson of Granby; one son, Kenneth (Sherry) Burdick of Scriba; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Elkin of Pulaski; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three husbands, Donald Burdick, Floyd Peashey and Leonard J. Cooper Sr.; and a son, Robert (Kay) Burdick. Funeral services will be Saturday 11 a.m. at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home with Rev. William Nickolas officiating. Calling Hours: Friday 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Spring burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.
