Died at Altmar, N.Y. Thursday Feb 7, 1929, Destine R. Whitney. Mr. Whitney had been a resident of this vicinity all his life. He was a member of the Maccabees for many years and served as Road Commissioner. Mr. Whitney's wife died just two weeks ago. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Jerry Mattison, for whom the most sincere sympathy is expressed at losing both parents in so short a time. Other survivors are two brothers, John Whitney of Utica and Dee Whitney of Pineville, and other relatives. Funeral services were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Mattison at 1 p.m. and at the Altmar M.E. church at 2 p.m. and were conducted by Rev. G.M.
