Ezra H. Williams, 83, Henderson Harbor, died at 12:10 p.m. Tuesday at his home, where he was under the care of Hospice of Jefferson County.
A private funeral will be held at the family’s convenience.
Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Simpson-Cleveland Funeral Home, where a Masonic service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County, Washington Street.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Hill Williams; two grandchildren, Pamela Williams Hulse, Watertown, and Stephen Williams, Watertown; a brother, Harwood Williams, Dallas, Texas, and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Brigitta Williams, Watertown.
A son, E. Harold Williams, died Feb. 1, 1989.
Mr. Williams married Dorothy Decatur Hill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Enos Hill, on Nov. 15, 1930, in the First Baptist Church parsonage with the Rev. Bernard C. Clauson officiating.
A resident of Watertown, Mr. Williams operated the Sherwin-Williams Co. on Public Square for 35 years, retiring in 1971. He then lived at Henderson Harbor and Mount Plymouth, Fla.
Mr. Williams was a member and past master of the Watertown Masonic Lodge 49, F.& A.M., a member of the Watertown Rotary Club since 1943 and a member of the Henderson Harbor Yacht Club and the Mount Plymouth Country Club in Florida.
