    • Newspaper Obituary - October 4, 1944 Sandy Creek News - Mrs. Phila B. Look - Mrs. Phila Jeanette Barlow Look, a former resident of this vicinity, died last week at Niagara Falls after a brief illness. She was born November 30, 1866 in the town of Richland. She was married to Eugene Look in 1891 and spent most of her life in Richland and near there until about 12 years ago when she went to make her home with her son, Ernest Look, at Niagara Falls. Six children were added to this union, two who preceded her in death, while surviving are three sons, Ernest of Niagara Falls; Clarance of Wolcott and Albert of Lacona; one daughter, Edna Widrig of Parish; 18 grandchildren, three stepchildren, Lewis of Rome; Celia Miller of Richland, and Jerry of Richland; 13 step-grandchildren with 38 great-grandchildren. Her later life was spent with her son, Ernest, and it was at his home in Niagara Falls that she was taken ill. She was hurried to the hospital where she lived only half an hour. The body was brought to the home of one of her sons, Albert Look, of Lacona. On Sunday, October 1, 1944, the burial service was held with prayer at Albert Look's and services at the Wesleyan Methodist church in Sandy Creek, with Rev. Herbert Moore officiating and the pastor Rev. J. Harold Douglass, assisting. Rev. and Mrs. Douglass sang two numbers, "Transformed" and "Home Sweet Home." Interment was in Richland cemetery.
