- DeEstin D. Whitney, 98, Pineville, town of Albion, died Wednesday at Seneca Hill Manor, Volney.
Mr. Whitney owned and operated a dairy farm for 50 years in the town of Albion, and had lived in Pineville since 1919.
Born Nov. 27, 1905, in Eastwood, son of Dee and Etta Dack Whitney, he attended school in Eastwood.
He married Carro P. Lum on June 21, 1926. She died March 29, 1986.
He was a member of the Pulaski Grange.
Surviving are a son, Bud D., North Syracuse; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
A son, Fay W., died Jan. 26, 2003.
The funeral will be at noon Friday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Burial will be in Pineville Cemetery.
A calling hour will be from 11 a.m. to noon Friday at the funeral home.
