- Newspaper Obituary - March 10, 2003 Watertown Daily Times - REX A. WOOLSON - BLOUNT LUMBER CO. RETIREE - Rex A. Woolson, 74, of 412 County Route 50, died Sunday at his home. Mr. Woolson was an employee of Blount Lumber Co., Lacona, for 42 years. He retired in 1990. Previously, he had worked at Hastraders Sawmill, Richland, for two years. He attended Vorea Church and was a lifelong resident of Orwell. Born Oct. 2, 1928, in Orwell, he was a son of Clinton and Frances Mowers Woolson. He married Gladys A. Olin on Sept. 10, 1948, in the Methodist parsonage, Sandy Creek, with the Rev. Herbert Harrison, officiating. Surviving besides his wife are two sons, David R. and Steven A., both of Orwell; four sisters, Wilma Currier, Mattydale, Barbara Holbrook and Gladys Fox, both of Pulaski, and Arlene Bacher, Sandy Pond; a brother, Clinton, Pulaski; a half-brother, Frank Ronzonkiewiecz, Camden; and four grandchildren. A grandson died before him. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Orwell Fire Department.
