    • Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, January 9, 1958 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. F. Tilkins Dies at Richland - Services for Mrs. Florence Brown Tilkins, 52, of Richland were held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home. The Rev. Jay Wilcox of the Richland Methodist Church officiated. Interment was in Richland Cemetery. Mrs. Tilkins died Monday evening, (December 30) in Mercy Hospital at Watertown where she had been a patient only a few days. She had been in ill health for some time. Surviving are her husband, Lewis E. Tilkins of Fort Wayne, Indiana; her father, John Brown of Richland; five sons, Robert of Fort Wayne. Indiana, Donald of Brewerton. Richard with the United States Navy at Ouantico, Rhode Island, Ronald with the United States Army, Fort Meade, Maryland, and John Tilkins of Richland; five daughters, Miss Dorothy Tilkins of Syracuse, Mrs. Grant (Norma) Wilson, Mrs. Eileen Dyer, Mrs. Walter (Bonnie) Salisbury and Mrs. Edward (Mary) Bielewicz, all of Richland; 16 grandchildren; three brothers, Stewart Brown of Butler, Pennsylvania, Isaac Brown of Brewerton and Earl Brown of San Francisco, California; two sisters, Mrs. Dan (Sally) Sherlock and Mrs. William (Betty) Jones of Syracuse. Mrs. Tilkins was bom in Richland on August 6, 1905, and was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Frost Brown. She had lived all her life in Richland and was married to Mr. Tilkins September 24, 1925.
