- Newspaper Obituary - April 23, 1999 Syracuse Post Standard - WALTER A. WOOLSON - Walter A. Woolson, 76, of Oran-Delphi Road, Delphi Falls, died Wednesday at home. Born in Richland, he lived in Delphi Falls for 52 years. He was a Merchant Marine veteran of World War II. He retired in 1983, after 42 years as a quality control specialist at General Electric Co. He was a member of Delphi Falls Fire Department for 47 years, and its secretary for 28 years. He was a member of Delphi Falls United Church and the Odd Fellows Lodge. A son, Walter R., died in 1979. Survivors: His wife, the former Kathryn J. Enders; three sisters, Wilma Currier of Syracuse, Gladys Fox of Pulaski and Arlene Backer of Sandy Pond; three brothers, Rex Woolson of Orwell, Clinton Woolson of Pulaski and Frank Rozonkiewiecz of Camden. Services: 1 p.m. Monday in Delphi Falls United Church. Burial, White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt.
