- Linda M. Sperling Obituary
Linda M. Sperling, age, 77, life resident of Pulaski, passed away Monday at Morningstar Nursing Home in Oswego. Linda was born December 3, 1947, in Syracuse, the daughter of Cyrus and Cathleen Smith Stewart. She attended Sandy Creek Schools. Linda was employed as a bartender at local American Legions and VFWs. She was an auxiliary member of the Pulaski VFW and Robert Edwards American Legion, and Scriba VFW.
Linda loved to begin her day began with her cup of coffee and cigarettes. She enjoyed playing her computer games and watching her tv shows. Linda was devoted to her family and cared for her nieces and nephews like her own children. Every year she enjoyed hosting a big Fourth of July party, and she loved to attend family gatherings.
Surviving are her children, Donna Cavanaugh of Dickerson Center, Rodney Murtaugh (Julie Jackson) of Pennellville, Tari Nolan of Central Square, eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, and her sister, Elsie Tray of Pulaski and many nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her siblings Milton Stewart, Charles Stewart, Larry Stewart, Sandra Stewart Althouse and her infant daughter, Dawn Murtaugh.
Calling hours will be held, Friday, January 17th from 1 to 3p.m. at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with a spring burial in Richland Cemetery. No funeral service will be held.
