Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, August 31, 1927 Syracuse Journal - Syracuse, New York - Mrs. Maria Horton - Mrs. Maria Horton, wife of Frank Horton, of 104 Ridgeway avenue, died Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Joseph Hospital. She had been a patient there for the last month. Born in New York Mills in 1860, she had been a resident of Syracuse for 20 years. Surviving are a son, William H. McCoole, and two daughters, Mrs. Henry Birdsley, of New York, and Mrs. James Kew of Utica. Funeral services will be conducted from Hart's funeral parlors Friday morning at 8:30 o'clock, and one-half hour later in St. Joseph (French) Church where a solemn high mass of requiem will be celebrated by Rev. B. Clovis Thiebault, pastor. Burial will be in Richland.
Newspaper Obituary - Friday, September 2, 1927 Syracuse Journal - Syracuse, New York - Mrs. Maria Horton - Funeral services for Mrs. Maria Horton, 104 Ridgeway Drive, who died Wednesday in St. Joseph Hospital, took place from the undertaking rooms of William P. Hart at 8:30 o'clock Friday morning and half an hour later in St. Joseph (French) Church where a solemn high mass of requiem was celebrated by Rev. B. Clovis Thiebault, pastor. Burial was in Richland. Bearers were Frank Jones, John Coyle, George Smith and Frank Ryan.
