Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, March 2, 1996 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Helen E. Wing Dies - Helen E. Wing, 75, Route 2, died Thursday at her home after a brief illness. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry officiating. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m today at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the volunteers of Oswego County Hospice. Surviving are her husband, Harold E.; two sons, C. James, Sandy Creek, and John R., Richland; three daughters, Lucy Larkins, Copenhagen, Margaret Sandstrom, Panama City, Florida, and Carolyn Johnson, Sandy Creek; a sister, Rene Cobb, Richland; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Born January 1, 1921, in Richland, daughter of Charles and Jesse Tolley Riley, she attended Pulaski Academy and had been a life resident of Richland. She had been employed by General Electric Co. during World War II. She married Harold E. Wing on February 1, 1938, in Richland Methodist Episcopal parsonage with the Rev. Charles T. Martin officiating. The couple owned and operated Sancona Builders Supply Inc. until selling the business to family members in 1977. Mrs. Wing continued to work there until her retirement in 1986. Mrs. Wing was a member of Park United Methodist Church, Pulaski. She was organist for many years at Richland Methodist Church, playing at many area weddings. She was also a former member of Richland Rebekah Lodge.
