Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday, September 23, 1997 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Rena Riley Cobb, Retired Teacher - Rena Riley Cobb, 94, formerly of Richland, died Sunday at Genesis HealthCare, Watertown. Mrs. Cobb lived most of her life in Richland. She taught at Orwell District 6 and Richland Elementary School for 39 years, retiring in 1967. She was a member of Park United Methodist Church, Pulaski, Oswego County Retired Teachers Association and New York State Retired Teachers Association. Born July 4, 1903, in Fairfield, Virginia, daughter of Charles J. and Jessie L. Tolley Riley, she graduated from Pulaski High School in 1925 and Oswego Normal School in 1929. She received a bachelor's degree in 1951 from Oswego State Teachers College. She married William F. Cobb on August 18, 1928, in Richland. He died October 2, 1964. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 11 am. Wednesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry officiating. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery. A calling hour will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
