Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, July 5, 1922 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - In Memory of Mrs. Cora Demelt Horton - Mrs. Horton, who passed away June 24th, was born in the town of Albion 72 spent most of her life in the eastern section of Oswego County. Not only was she a woman of high ideals, with a brave character, who bore the trials of life with a patient smiling face, but she was above all a most devoted mother. Most of her life was centered about her home, a place where she put forth unceasing efforts to educate her children for the greater tasks of life. Besides her husband she is survived by nine children, six sons and three daughters, Arthur, Clinton, Archie, Clifford, Francis, Ward and Fannie and Cora Horton also Mrs. George Crangle, who will mourn the loss of their dearest friend She will be remembered by all who knew her as an ardent, faithful, devoted mother and friend. Mother: A voice called from the stillness a weary one away. From the world's joy and sadness, to rest for a brighter day. A smiling face has vanished, a voice is hushed and stilled, a place is left empty, a place that can never be filled. A mother's loving care has gone from a home that held her so dear; No more will we hear her footsteps, or words of comfort and cheer. No, the great divine has called her, and she went forth without a sigh, but we all hope to meet her sometime in that "Sweet By and By." F. M H.
