      Richard J. Maitland, age 77, resident of Richland, passed away Sunday at University Medical Center in Syracuse. Surviving: four sons and two daughters. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski.

      Richard J. Maitland, age 77, resident of Richland, passed away Sunday at University Medical Center in Syracuse. Richard was born March 17, 1935 in Red Creek, the son of Ralph and Cora Mason Maitland. He resided in Richland since 1984 previously living in Sandy Creek. He attended Red Creek Schools. Richard married Ella Mae Yerdon on May 25, 1954, she passed away January 29, 2008. He was employed by Ott Brothers Construction in Syracuse for many years.

      Surviving, four sons, Richard J. Jr., Michael D., and Timothy B., all of Conway, SC, and Ernest S., of Richland, two daughters, Brenda Fitzgerald of Port Leyden and Glenda Vautrin of Mannsville, three sisters, Nancy Adams of Parish, Susan Denny of Oswego and Betty Britton of Pulaski, two brothers, David Maitland of New Haven and William Maitland of Richland, 19 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

      A Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski.
