Gloria Gail Swanson passed away in the early morning hours of September 12, 2014, at Highgate Assisted Living Center in Wenatchee. Gloria was born August 4, 1953, to Glen and Ruby (Knowles) Swanson at Chelan, WA. Gloria grew up in Chelan and graduated from Chelan High School in 1971. She pursued a career with what was then General Telephone company, and worked with them until her retirement. Gloria was a member of the Wenatchee Assembly of God Church. She was a very caring and loving person and had numerous friends and family. She loved supporting the Mariners and Seahawks, and really loved her road trips.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Swanson; and her mother and father, Glen and Ruby. Gloria is survived by her brother, Dennis Swanson of Wenatchee; and sister, Judy Swanson of Chelan.
The family would like to thank the many people who took care of Gloria in her later moments, including Highgate Assisted Living Center, Dr. Mandy Robertson and Dr. Jason Rahme, and Central Washington Hospital Hospice. Your loving care of Gloria did not go unnoticed. Thank you and God bless all of you.
Graveside Services for Gloria Swanson will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 19, 2014, at Fraternal Cemetery in Chelan, WA. Please feel free to leave any thoughts and memories of Gloria for the family at www.prechtrose.com. Services are entrusted to Precht Rose Chapel of Chelan, WA.
