Notes - Raised by the Bovee family---her cousins of Adams, NY. Following her marriage to Mr. Deans, Mildred moved to Syracuse, then later to Lansing, Michigan where he found work. Mr. Deans died about 1918, and Mildred remarried a Mr. Davis who she later divorced.
In September 1940 Mildred went to Watertown, NY with her 11 year old daughter Caroline Davis. While there she began work for Dr. C. S. Shuman, living with her brother Arthur. On November 13 both were returning to Lansing, Michigan to live when she and her brother were in a serious car accident in Hamilton, Ontario. Arthur died immediately, Mildred lingered for a few days.
