- Bernard C. Joss, age 55, life resident of Lacona passed away Sunday from injuries sustained in a snowmobile accident. Bernard was born April 10, 1958 in Syracuse, the son of Otto E. and Lucille Clark Joss. He graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 1976. Bernard was a self-employed logger and he continued as a hobby farmer. He owned and operated a dairy farm for over 25 years, and was previously employed by FedEx in Syracuse. Bernie had a passion for life which included hunting, fishing, boating, skiing, volleyball and spending time at Sandy Pond with his family and friends.
Surviving are three sons, Jeremy (Heather) Joss of Adams, and Phillip and Gabriel Yerdon both of Tunkhannock, PA, his parents, Otto and Lucille Joss of Lacona, two brothers, Timothy Joss of Oswego and Russell (Jeanette) Joss of Weston, FL, two sisters, his twin, Bonnie Joss of Clearwater, FL and Karen Joss of Central Square, nieces, Gabby Galimi, Olivia Joss and Adrianna Joss, and nephews, Jacob Joss and Domenic Galimi.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home 52 Park Street, Pulaski with a spring burial in Boylston Cemetery, Lacona. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
