  • Notes
    • Gleason was raised in Greenborough, Redfield township. He and his siblings attended Yerdon District School. A photo from about 1913 shows him, Norm and Maude with 6 other students, all cousins under the instruction of Clara Carr. Other early photos that show Gleason are sugaring scenes from the woods, and logging photos with his father.
Following their marriage Gleason and Mary settled in Camden. Gleason worked as a Laborer in various heavy construction projects. In April 1940 Gleason was injured in the infamous Little Falls train wreck. After three months in the hospital Gleason took a position at one of Camden's wire mills.
Gleason was active in community affairs, serving as a Volunteer Fireman. He was a founding member of the Otto Mills Hunting Club in Redfield. In his spare time Gleason enjoyed refinishing furniture and gardening with his wife Mary.
