    • Glenn P Swanson, 71, a lifelong resident of Chelan, died Wednesday evening at Central Washington Hospital.

      He was born Feb. 18, 1911, at Chelan and attended school in the Boyd district. For several years he was active in ranching. ON Feb. 26, 1939, he married Ruby Knowles at Chelan.

      Mr. Swanson was employed as a carpenter in construction for 35 years and worked on several of the hydroelectric projects in the area. From 1972 until 1975, he was employed by Lake Chelan Community Hospital. From 1975 until his retirement in 1979, he managed the Lake Chelan Community Apartments.

      Survivors include his wife, Ruby, at home; two sons, Gary, Chelan, and Dennis, East Wenatchee; two daughters, Judy Knapp, Lynnwood, and Gloria Swanson, Rathdrum, Idaho; one sister, Elsie ST. Luise, Chelan; and three grandchildren.
