      Watertown Daily Times (NY) - June 8, 1993

      Vera E. Yerdon, 81, County Route 17, died early Tuesday at the Evergreen Adult Home, Pulaski, where she had been a resident since March.

      The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek, with the Rev. Thomas Howell, pastor of the Vorea Community Church, Orwell, officiating. Burial will be in Boylston Wesleyan Cemetery.

      Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Redfield Fire Department.

      Surviving are a son, Gary, Redfield; two grandchildren; a stepsister, Dorothy Giddings, Redfield; a stepbrother, Leon Taplin, Canandaigua, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

      Born Aug. 25, 1911, in Redfield, daughter of Lewis and Nellie Yerdon Lodge, she was educated in Redfield schools and married Avery L. Yerdon Sept. 24, 1939, in Syracuse. Mr. Yerdon died Jan. 22, 1981.

      Mrs. Yerdon was a life resident of the town of Redfield.
