      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, October 17, 1889 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Died - At the residence of Charles Frary, October 10th, 1889, Loren Champney, aged 77 years. Mr. Champney was born in 1812, at the homestead near this village, now occupied by his son, Almon J., and had passed all his life in that neighborhood, save that for a few years he had lived in Pulaski. He was a good man, whose quiet, unassuming life and integrity of character had endeared him to those who know him intimately. The funeral was held on Saturday, his pastor, Rev. D. D. Owen, of the Baptist church, officiating.
