Helen Jean Galbraith Toth, 70, of 120 Dewey Road, died Tuesday at her home.
Mrs. Toth retired in 1993 as a bus driver for Mexico Academy and Central School. She had lived in Mexico for 47 years.
She was a member of St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, Pulaski Order of the Eastern Star and Cooperative Extension in Mexico. She also was a 4-H leader.
Born April 29, 1928, in the town of Richland, daughter of Ralph F. and Olive A. Galer Galbraith, she married George T. Toth on Oct. 14, 1950, at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church.
Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Gary T. and George W., both of Mexico; two sisters, Erma Koenig, Mexico, and Barbara McCullagh, Pulaski; two brothers, Robert and Lawrence Galbraith, both of Plattsburgh, and four grandchildren.
Two brothers died before her, Bradford R. Galbraith on Nov. 1, 1944, in action in the Philippines, and Howard Galbraith on Aug. 15, 1974. A sister, Verda Costello, died Aug. 27, 1992.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Harter Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church. Burial will be in Mexico Village Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
