    • Alice M. Helbock, 83, County Route 13, died Wednesday at the Samaritan-Keep Home, Watertown.

      The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek, with the Rev. Virgil H. Hager, pastor of the Sandy Creek First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Wesleyan Cemetery in the spring.

      Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

      Surviving are two sons, Donald, Mexico, and Norman, Watertown; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Aline Porter, Central Square, and Retha VanEpps, Levittown; two brothers, George Yerdon, Redfield, and Paul Yerdon, Central Square, and several nieces and nephews.

      Two brothers and a sister died before her.

      Born July 3, 1908, in the town of Redfield, daughter of Norman and Edith Giddings Yerdon, she was a life resident of the Lacona/Redfield area.

      She married John L. Helbock Feb. 6, 1932, in Watertown. Mr. Helbock died Oct. 22, 1968.
