Green Settlement -
G. Wallace Oderkirk died last Thursday, March 26, after an illness of several weeks. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 1 o’clock at his residence on B. F. Hull’s farm, conducted by Rev. J. O. Perkins, of Adams Centre. Mr. Oderkirk was 56 years of age. He leaves a wife, two sons and five daughters. He was a soldier in the late war. Recently he took a transfer from the G. A. R. post at Redfield, Oswego county, to DeAlton Cooper post. Quite a number of the G. A. R. were in attendance and assisted in the services. The remains were place in the receiving vault in Union cemetery at Adams Centre. Interment will be at Orwell.
