      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, May 18, 1921 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Winslow N. Pierce Dies Suddenly - Last Friday, just after noon, Winslow N. Pierce, of Fernwood, died while sitting in his chair. He had finished his dinner and had taken a book to read. When he had been thus engaged a few minutes, the family noticed the book fall from his hand and when they went to him he was dead. Mr. Pierce was the son of the late Benjamin Pierce and was born in the South part of the town of Richland seventy nine years ago. He had spent most of his life in the vicinity of his birthplace. He is survived by the widow, two daughters, Mrs. Theodore W. Shaul, of Syracuse, Mrs. Walter Nickelson, of Fernwood, and one son, Benjamin F. who lived at the Pierce farm. He also had one brother, Ward E. Pierce, and a sister, Miss Eva Pierce, of Pulaski. Funeral services were held at the home, Sunday afternoon, Rev. Barrette, of Fernwood M. E. Church, officiating. Burial at Willis cemetery.
