- Newspaper Obituary - August 22, 1957 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Rites Held for Mrs. E. Lilley - Mrs. Elizabeth A. Lilley, 83, widow of the late Dexter M. Lilley, died at her home, 31 Park St., Pulaski, early Friday monring, Aug. 16. She had apparently been in her usual health upon retiring and died in her sleep. Mrs. Lilley was born near Pulaski Jan. 27, 1874. She was the daughter of Rollin and Elizabeth Lane. Educated in Pulaski schools, she was married to Dexter M. Lilley on Oct. 10, 1894. The couple operated a farm on the Centerville Road and later a large farm on Lake Road near this village. In 1943 they purchased the home at 31 Park St. where Mrs. lilley has lived alone since her husband's death in 1944. Mrs. Lilley is survived by three sons, Leon D. Lilley of Gonzales, Calif., Otto R. Lilley of Trumansburg, and Erwin W. Lilley of Pulaski; two daughters, Bessie (Mrs. Benjamin) Frary of Homer and Dorothy (Mrs. Perry) Hastings of Pulaski, and by eight grandchildren. The funeral was held at Foster Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Monday Aug. 19, the Rev. Russell Clark, pastor of Park Methodist Church, officiating. Interment was in Pulaski Cemetery.
