- Takes Life by Driving Car Into Canal
Services for Mrs. Frances March Farrington 33 of Liverpool, who took her life early last Saturday morning by driving her car into the Barge Canal at Three Rivers, were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home, Wilbur Ave., the Rev. Russell. Champlain officiating. Burial was in Pulaski Cemetery.
Surviving are two sons, Arthur and Ronald; two daughters. Sheila Anne and Patricia; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adelbert March; three sisters Mrs. Katherine Galiteau, Mrs. Stephen Kinch, nieces and, nephews.
According to State Police who investigated, Mrs. Farrington, a diVorcee, drove off the dock at the parking lot at Three Rivers about 2:30 a.m. after conversation with a friend. Her body was still in the car which was removed from the river by a tow truck after skin divers fastened cables to it.
Mrs. Farrington and her parents were residents of Pulaski when the family were young children.
