Dupont, 75, of Rickmyer Road, died Sunday, December 10, 2006 in Rome Memorial Hospital, after a long illness. She was born September 29, 1931, in Westernville, a daughter of Lloyd and Florence Stroup Jones. She was educated in West Leyden Schools. Lorna worked at Patty’s Stagecoach Inn for several years and had worked for several other area restaurants. Surviving are her faithful and loving companion of 42 years, Howard “Bud” Taubert; six daughters and five sons-in-law, Maryann and Richard Harrington, North Bay, Donna and James Trumble, Altmar, Betty and Arthur Smith, Rome, Barbara and Michael Turk, Camden, Joann and Steve Cronck, Altmar, Cindy Vanderworken, Camden; one son, Bruce Ladd, Tennessee; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Phoebe and Gurdon Hurlbut, Ava, Alma Jones, Ava; eighteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters, Elizabeth Howard and Laura Jean Schoff and three brothers, Edward, Robert and Arthur. Services: Funeral services will be held at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St. on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Interment Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
