Verna E. Sarandis, 77, of 300 W. Second St. died Sunday at Oswego Hospital.
Mrs. Sarandis was born in Oswego. She owned and operated Nick's Restaurant for many years with her husband, James A., and also operated Sarandis Coffee Shop until retiring in the early 1980s.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Her husband died in 1970.
Surviving are two daughters, Cynthia A. Sarandis and Denise L. Sarandis; a brother, Donald Sova of Pulaski; and many nieces and nephews.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home and 11 a.m. in Grace Lutheran Church. Spring burial is in Riverside Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 112 E. Second St.
Contributions may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church.
