The funeral for Hubert C. Ayres, 24, of 74 Smokey Hollow Drive, will be at noon Tuesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Altmar.
Mr. Ayres was pronounced dead early Saturday at the scene of a head-on collision on Interstate 81 in the town of Sandy Creek as he was driving in the wrong direction, according to state police.
Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Ayres worked for Burns Bros. Concrete Co., Fayetteville, for the past two years and previously worked for Albion Paving Co.
Born Oct. 29, 1979, in Syracuse, son of Harrison N. and Elizabeth Mae Kellar Ayres, he attended Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School.
Surviving besides his parents, of Altmar, are his companion, Brandi Trumble, Parish; four sisters, Carol Beeman, Mildred Barrett and Ann Rosario, all of Altmar, and Judy Turner, Syracuse, and three brothers, Edward D. Trumble Jr., Syracuse, Frederick R. Trumble, Altmar, and Harrison N. Ayres Jr., Williamstown.
