      Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday, September 24, 1957 Syracuse Herald Journal - Syracuse, New York - Mrs. Sherman Rites Tomorrow - Pulaski - Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine Sherman, 56, wife of Clifford Sherman, who died late Sunday, will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow from the Taylor Funeral Home. The Rev. James W. Kemmerer, pastor of Marcy Community Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Daysville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Mrs. Sherman died at her home at Marcy following a long illness. Born in Port Ontario on April 28, 1901, she graduated from Pulaski Academy on December 24, 1921. She was married to Mr. Sherman at Pulaski. For the past 15 years they resided at Marcy, where both were employed. She was a member of the Mexico Baptist Church. Surviving besides her husband are a son, Clifford of Lake Road, Pulaski; her mother, Mrs. Nina Allport, Syracuse; a sister, Mrs. Walter Sherman, Mexico; and a brother, John Allport, Selkirk Beach.
