      Newspaper Obituary - Monday, August 2, 1993 The Post Standard - Syracuse, New York - Joseph C. Shumway Jr., 52, of Albright Road, died Saturday at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital in Syracuse. Mr. Shumway was a native of Saranac Lake and lived many years in the Mexico area. He was a machinist for the Fulton Canfield Factory. He previously worked 20 years for Coca-Cola of Syracuse. He was an Army veteran. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church of Mexico. He was active in the Black Tigers Pee Wee Wrestling program. He is survived by two sons, Joseph J. of Lacona and Richard of Sandy Creek; a daughter, Kelly Shumway of Palermo; two sisters, Margaret Campbell of Constantia and Sandra Bowers of Mexico; five brothers, Paul of Waterloo, and Donald, Douglas, Gary and Russell, all of New Haven; two grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Harter Funeral Home, Mexico, and 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Burial will be in Daysville Cemetery, Richland. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 5301 Washington Ave., Mexico.
