Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, May 8, 1969 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Clifford Sherman Dies at 66 - Boonville - Clifford S. Sherman, 66, of Edmonds Road, a Pulaski native, died this morning in St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Utica, where he had been a patient three weeks. The funeral will be Sunday at 1 p.m. in the Trainor Funeral Home, with Rev. Rollo D. Pierce, pastor, Boonville United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday and Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mr. Sherman is survived by his widow, Mrs. Pearl Sherman; a son Clifford W. Sherman, Pulaski; a step-son, Ralph P. Jones, Pulaski; a step-daughter, Mrs. Glenn (Pricilla) Williams, Mesa, Arizona; seven step-grandchildren; three brothers, Lewis and Walter Sherman, both of Pulaski, and Robert Sherman of Liverpool, and a sister, Mrs. Cora Carl, Pulaski. Born in Pulaski on June 7, 1902, he spent his younger life there and was employed for several years by the B. and R. Motor Transport Company. On December 24, 1921, he married Katherine Allport, who died in 1957. He married Mrs. Pearl Wingert in Holland Patent on September 1, 1958. An employee of Marcy State Hospital as an attendant for 24 years, Mr. Sherman retired in 1965. The couple then moved to Boonville and spent their winters in Arizona.
