      Gladys V. Trumble, 93, a life resident of Altmar, died Monday at Lorretto Heights Nursing Home in Syracuse.

      Born April 16, 1913, in Altmar, a daughter of William S. and Harriet M. Waite Trumble, she attended school in Altmar.

      She married Myrul C. Trumble on Feb. 27, 1935, in Pennsylvania. He died Feb. 14, 1969.

      Mrs. Trumble attended Sandy Creek Wesleyan Church and was well-known for her baked beans. She enjoyed cooking.

      Surviving are two sons and their wives, Bernard and Alice, Camden, and Spencer and Carol, Altmar, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

      A son, Frank, died in 1938, and a brother, Harry R. Trumble, died June 8, 2004.

      The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Altmar.

      Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
