Genevieve M. Ballou, 72, Central Square, formerly of Rutland Center, died Tuesday at her home.
She was employed at Angelo's Bakery, Brewerton, Birdseye Foods, Fulton, and Eagle Comtronics, Clay.
Born Feb. 12, 1935, in Altmar, daughter of Ira and Blanche Trumble, she attended Pulaski High School.
She married Richard Ballou on Feb. 7, 1953, in Pulaski. They lived in Rutland Center before moving to Central Square in the late 1950's.
Mrs. Ballou enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed attending classic car cruise-ins with her husband in his 1939 Ford truck.
Surviving besides her husband are a son and his wife, Michael and Darleen, Central Square; a daughter, Michele Ballou, Arizona; a brother and his wife, Ira and Dorothy, Kentucky; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Esther Shaw, Pulaski, and Caroline and Edward Warren, Fulton; a sister-in-law, Irene Trumble, Waterville, two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Three brothers, William, Charles and Robert Trumble, and seven sisters, Oleta "Pat" Trumble, Iris Southwell, Marion Wadsworth, Arlene Trumble, Eunice Kvocka, Joyce Sargent and Elonar Trumble, died before her.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Traub Funeral Home, Central Square.
