- Newspaper Obituary - Monday, February 27, 1950 Watertown Daily Times - Pulaski Woman Dies In Florida - Mrs. Belle S. Sanderson, 78, Victim of Sudden Heart Attack - Pulaski, Feb. 27 - Mrs. Belle Sheppard Sanderson, 78, widow of Harrison Sanderson of this village, died suddenly Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Moore, at St. Petersburg, Fla., of a heart attack. Mrs. Sanderson left her home in North Street here, last fall to spend the winter with her daughter in Florida. Funeral services will be held from the Foster funeral home in Park street, Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Merlo O. Brown, pastor of the Mexico Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in Adams cemetery. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Moore with whom she was residing at the time of her death and Mrs. Dorcas Leonard, also of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sons, Roy Sanderson of Texas, N.Y. and Clarence Sanderson of Malone; and one brother, Lee Sheppard, of Corry, Pa; nine grand children and four great grandchildren. Mrs. Sanderson was born in Picton, Ont., Jan 8, 1872, the daughter of Tobias and Mary Collier Sheppard. She came to the United States with her parents at the age of seven years, and resided in Orwell in her youth. In August, 1890, she was married to Harrison Sanderson and since that time had resided in Pulaski and vicinity. She was a member of Rising Sun Rebekah lodge of Pulaski.
