Harry A. Jennings, 63, son of the late Nelson and Mary McLymond Jennings, died suddenly Friday morning at 9:30. He suffered an acute heart attack and succumbed before medical aid could be administered.
Mr. Jennings, who was born in Amboy, has been a resident of Parish for 48 years, and who had been engaged in the coal business after conducting a blacksmith shop for many years, went to Syracuse early Friday morning where he obtained a truck load of coal. He drove back to Parish, deliver the coal and had returned to his home. He had been there only a few minutes when the fatal attack came.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Klotz Jennings, a son, Carl Jennings, two grandchildren, Janice and Donald Jennings, and a sister Mrs. Frank Hammecker all of Parish.
Funeral services were conducted at his home Monday at 2 p. m. Rev. Henry Fisher, pastor of Parish Methodist church, officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Lawn cemetery, Parish.
