      Milton Claude Warren, 91, of Newport, died Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Crystal Coast Hospice House.

      A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday at St. James United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Supplee officiating. Interment will follow at Amariah Garner Cemetery.

      Milton was a Sergeant in the US Marine Corp and served in the Pacific Theatre World War II. He was a plumber by trade and was retired from civil service at Cherry Point Air Station.

      He is survived by three children; son, Michael C. Warren and wife, Denise of Nashville, TN, daughter, Mary Jane Thomas and husband, Joe of Boonesville, VA, and son, Mark H. Warren and Diane Reichle of California; five grandchildren: Emily Warren Shonts, Micah Thomas, Patrick Thomas, Shawn Reichle, and Madeleine Warren; three great grandchildren: McKenzie Brown, Graham Thomas, and Kiera Thomas; one sister Minetta Colwell of Newport; and several nieces and nephews.

      He was preceded in death by his wife Olene Garner Warren.

      Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
